Nayan Hirji Patel was born in Bhachau village in the Kutch district of Gujarat. He completed his primary education at Jain International Boarding School in Bengaluru, graduated from King’s College in London, and later completed his Master’s degree from Imperial University in London.
He is involved in multiple businesses, including a mineral water company operating under the brand name Bailey. Deeply concerned about the growing water crisis in cities like Bengaluru and Chennai, he was inspired by the work of his father, Shri Hirji Naran Patel, who successfully renovated 18 ponds in their village between 2017 and 2029.
For a long time, I have been deeply concerned about the growing water crisis in Bengaluru and Chennai. My father, Shri Hirji Naran Patel, successfully renovated 18 ponds in our village between 2017 and 2029. His work inspired me to take a similar path of service.
“Inspired by this vision, he has resolved to renovate all old ponds within a 200-kilometer radius of Bengaluru and Chennai. Where necessary, he also intends to construct new ponds to further the cause.
To carry this mission forward, he has established the Benir Foundation, an organization dedicated purely to social service without any intention of profit or personal gain.
“Reviving and building ponds will not only help solve the water crisis but will also create a priceless natural legacy for future generations.
I sincerely request everyone to contribute in whatever way possible, through time, effort, expertise, or financial support, to make this noble mission a success.”
